Christmas Cobbler with Pears 'n Cranberries

Topping:

Preheat a 12 inch Dutch Oven.

Combine Karo syrup, 2/3 cup sugar, cornstarch and cranberries in Dutch Oven.

Heat to a boil, reduce heat and simmer about 5 minutes or until the cranberries pop.

Stir in pears and pour into fruit mixture.

Combine flour, 1 cup sugar and cut in butter until mixture resembles course crumbs.

Stir in oats and mix well. Add eggs and mix until moistened. Crumble evenly over fruit.

Charcoal Recommendations: Use 10 briquettes under the kettle and 14 to 16 on lid.
