Hamburger Stew with Dumplings

Preheat 12 inch Dutch Oven.

Brown ground beef and drain.

Add all of the vegetables to meat and season to taste with salt, garlic powder and pepper.

Add water.

Cover with lid and bake for 45 minutes. Stir at the end of 30 minutes.

Prepare the dumpling batter from the direction on the Bisquick box. Drop mixture by spoonful into boiling stew.

Cover and cook for another 15 to 20 minutes.

CHARCOAL RECOMMENDATIONS:

Use 8 to 10 briquettes under the kettle and 10 on the lid while the stew is cooking.

Use 8 to 10 briquettes under the kettle and 14 on the lid while the dumplings are baking. More briquettes on the lid just before you are ready to serve will brown the dumplings and give them an appetizing appearance
